As part of the Punjab region in past, people here in Panchkula follow customs and traditions of regular Punjabi weddings, like Rokka and Thakka, Chunni Ceremony, Sagai, or Engagement, Mehendi Ceremony, Sangeet, Kangana Bandhan Ceremony, Chhodha Chadana, Kalire Ceremony. Birdes normally wear Kameez and Salwar or Lehnga Choli along with heavily embroidered dupatta covering her head. The outfit usually based on the Patiala Salwar Kameez style.
